DESCRIPTION:The Air Force Association’s Air\, Space & Cyber Conference will return as a live\, in-person event Sept. 20-22 at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor\, Md. With most COVID-19 restrictions now lifted by national\, state\, and local authorities\, we can once again look forward to greeting each other in-person this September. \nA full agenda of speaker presentations and a robust technology exposition will greet thousands of visitors. AFA is working closely with the Department of the Air Force leadership to create a truly memorable event for Airmen\, Guardians\, and their industry partners in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of AFA’s founding. \nAFA’s Air\, Space\, & Cyber Conference is the leading professional development event for Air Force and Space Force officers\, enlisted members\, civilians\, veterans\, and defense industry leaders and representatives. DESCRIPTION:This highly successful event has grown into a major technology event for Barksdale in just a few short years. Barksdale AFB is home to the Air Force Global Strike Command. AFGSC was activated in August\, 2009\, and is responsible for the nation’s three Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Wings\, two B-52 Stratofortress Wings\, two B-1B Lancer Wings\, the only B-2 Spirit Wing\, and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. The “Mighty Eighth” Air Force\, of World War II fame\, is headquartered at the Barksdale. Barksdale is home to the 2nd Bomb Wing\, 2nd Operations Group\, 2nd Maintenance Group\, 2nd Mission Support Group\, the 2nd Medical Group\, 26th Operational Weather Squadron\, & the Reserves 307th Bomb Wing. The 2021 Expo will be a great opportunity to reach personnel from the commands and units who use and procure technology for this important Air Force Base and will be the only technology expo at Barksdale AFB this year.
