Commercial Cloud Pricing Remediation

A commercial client was using a cluster-based deployment for their Red Hat OpenShift solution. As they were not utilizing an out-of-the-box platform, they were forced to deploy these clusters on Azure’s Kubernetes Service (AKS). Sterling was able to collaborate with the contracting agents and technical groups involved to validate the customer’s architecture and desired pricing model before eventually helping them shift to an on-demand cost structure, which allowed them to adjust, as required, for their variable rates of utilization.

Educational Cloud Implementation

Sterling supported an educational institution in their implementation of AWS cloud services for their day-to-day operations, providing a secure, cost-effective, and well-maintained solution. Our Cloud Architects began by providing a detailed proof-of-concept for the client, with the aim of helping them understand what we were offering and why. Next, our team expertly deployed the solution, making sure to keep the focus on several key security measures related to efficient storage and on-prem backups. Federal Cloud Pricing Scope of Services

Sterling collaborated with Carahsoft to scope out a comprehensive AWS services package for a federal entity who was interested in exploring the benefits and capabilities of a cloud solution. Initially, the market’s pricing estimate appeared lower than what the client’s actual need would ultimately entail. Consequently, we worked with the client to remedy the discrepancy, validating and adjusting the consumption costs for each line item in order to ensure the accuracy of each, the result of which was a more precise, albeit higher, total price. Throughout the process, we utilized NetApp as an AWS Marketplace reseller; they provided us with a private offer, one we extended to the federal client, whose AWS on-demand consumption expenses were then significantly reduced.

Specialized Cloud Customer Handling

Sterling helped mitigate a commercial client’s growing Microsoft issues while also providing additional hardware and services. The project involved the transfer of over 100 Microsoft licensing tenants as well as the creation of dedicated “storefronts” for each, thereby empowering the client’s own customers to instantly manage their licenses, without delay. Additionally, we established a new Azure subscription for the client, which enabled them to develop and test supplemental cloud applications and VDI solutions. Our team also assisted with their Microsoft SaaS package licensing, significantly enhancing their environment’s protection against external access and other security vulnerabilities.
