This significant project involved deploying high-performance Dell PowerEdge servers, PowerScale storage, and NVIDIA networking, optimized with Red Hat OpenShift for large-scale AI/ML workloads. Sterling’s certified engineers provided crucial onsite hardware configuration, virtualization strategy, and a comprehensive three-day training program covering hardware, NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, and OpenShift. This end-to-end solution, including system testing and knowledge transfer, showcases Sterling’s deep expertise in delivering complex, secure, and scalable Dell AI infrastructure, reinforcing our role as a premier Dell partner for transformative federal projects.
Naval Postgraduate School
Sterling, alongside Dell and NVIDIA, was named a 2025 Corporate Partner of the Year by the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Foundation. This recognition highlights their leadership in deploying advanced simulation and AI ecosystems. Specifically, Sterling and Dell delivered the essential hardware, storage infrastructure, and systems integration to implement NVIDIA’s Omniverse platform at NPS. This included the physical setup of Dell PowerEdge R760XA servers and core NVIDIA software deployment. This collaborative effort fuels AI-enabled research, modeling, and simulation, establishing a first-of-its-kind capability within the Department of the Navy to accelerate AI adoption and innovation.

Onsite Data Center Dell Server Operationalization
Sterling provided IT/Engineering Staff Augmentation and diverse IT solutions for a commercial client, focusing on the operationalization of AI-capable servers. This comprehensive project involved deploying significant hardware, including Dell PowerEdge R660 servers, PowerScale F210 All Flash NAS, and NVIDIA Spectrum switches. Sterling implemented Red Hat OpenShift as the virtualization platform for 8-way H200 GPUs to enhance system performance and flexibility. The engagement also included extensive training and knowledge transfer on hardware, the NVAIE software stack, and OpenShift fundamentals, ensuring client personnel could manage and maintain their advanced AI Factory solution. Sterling’s expertise in large-scale AI infrastructure deployment and support enabled the client to achieve their performance goals and empowered their own teams to work on their new AI infrastructure.
