Federal VCF (NSX) Residency

Sterling provided essential long-term resident support for federal government complexes, offering continuous operational assistance, including support for VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) environments. Our dedicated engineers consistently exceed expectations, as evidenced by positive feedback and contract extensions from clients and partners, demonstrating our commitment to ongoing, high-quality support.
Sterling, working with Dell Technologies, assisted a city government in the migration of their data from two separate datacenters.  To begin the process, Sterling recommended an assessment of the city’s existing virtualized VMware environment to verify they were properly integrated, optimized, and secure prior to the migration process. Sterling then provided both onsite and remote team support that assisted with the full migration of data across the datacenters. To ensure post-migration success, Sterling created a Test Plan to validate data, backup/restore processes, and failover scenarios, ensuring the customer is set up for success for years to come.
Sterling provided a resource to support a state government entity on behalf of Broadcom, focusing on comprehensive assistance with vDefend Firewall (DFW) and vDefend Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). The project encompassed DFW policy creation and rule migrations, defining operating models and standardization goals, and building multi-layered policies (Macro, Meso, Micro). Additionally, it involved enabling and tuning ATP, including IPS/IDS, malware prevention, threat assessment, logging, monitoring, and developing advanced use cases for threat detection and investigation. The engagement also covered product upgrades, patching, and custom dashboard creation for enhanced visibility and operational metrics. 

Sterling assisted Federal research & development clients with deploying and integrating new architectures through comprehensive Rack Integration Services. This included rack/stack, cable labeling, configuration, and VMware integration for hardware such as HPE Alletra Storage and HPE DL series servers.
