Once paid, you file an FCC Form 472 (BEAR) to request direct reimbursement from USAC for the E-rate discount. Proven Success in K-12 Education
School District Summer Device Refresh
Sterling continually supports a school district in managing and servicing their over 30,000 devices in preparation for the following school year. Our team utilizes custom asset tagging to account for each device and identify its condition throughout the process. Each device is assessed for damages, cleaned, and reimaged, ensuring they’re received by students in an operational state to foster learning. Devices that are damaged are noted and reassessed by our experts who repair the device or note a need for replacement. We then redistribute the devices across 60 districtwide locations before students return from summer break. With Sterling’s support, the district is able to keep track of their devices, direct their internal IT towards critical tasks, extend device lifetimes, and reduce costs.
School District Client Device Management
Sterling connected with a school district to support them in secure procurement, device management, and repair services. We provided them with advanced technical services encompassing end-to-end supply chain management for IT assets that included robust inbound logistics and scalable warehousing solutions. Our team delivered critical pre-deployment configuration services as well, specifically the multi-asset tagging and serialization of each unit for ease of management. Sterling’s capabilities extended to precision last-mile delivery and deployment logistics, complemented by granular inventory tracking and manifest generation, which ensured each delivered package was accurately identified with its contained unit’s serial number and asset tag.
School District UPS Deployment
We provided a school district with comprehensive Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) installation services. This involved managing the entire process from logistics to operational readiness and concluded with an informal knowledge transfer. Our team handled the shipping and delivery of the UPS equipment to the district’s site. Onsite, our team performed the physical installation, which included expertly rack mounting the UPS units and meticulously connecting all required power and network cables. Following installation, Sterling powered on the equipment, verified its proper functionality, and configured essential initial settings, including critical alarm configurations.
The project concluded with our experts educating the district’s IT personnel on the UPS system’s management, administrative functions, and best practices, ensuring the school district was fully equipped to maintain and operate their new power infrastructure effectively.
School District VMware Virtualization Upgrades and Management
