Sterling and Dell Bring 5G Demo Capabilities to Downtown Washington, D.C

Sterling, an award-winning Global Solutions Integrator, is pleased to announce that, together with Dell Technologies, it is now offering a suite of 5G-powered demonstrations at its Executive Briefing Center (EBC), located at 801 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in downtown Washington, D.C.

Federal Private 5G (FP5G) offers government agencies a communications network that is reliable, secure, and flexible—critical attributes for operations and workloads that often live on the edge, outside of traditional communications infrastructure. Now through August 11, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted Sterling access to host its own private 5G network within the D.C. metro, one of the most secure and tightly regulated telecommunications zones in the country. Leveraging Dell Technologies’ Mobile Advanced Communications Kit (MACK)—which delivers private 5G, compute, and networking in a single deployable system built for edge environments—Sterling is utilizing the aforementioned access to offer hands-on demos for government IT leaders to explore the capabilities of FP5G across a variety of timely, future-forward Public Sector use cases.

At Sterling’s EBC, one such demonstration features Taqtile’s augmented reality (AR)-supported work instruction and collaboration platform. Field technicians often lack immediate access to the expertise they require, leading to delays, repeat visits, and operational inefficiencies. This demo, however, showcases how FP5G can provide immersive AR guidance and real-time expert collaboration to resolve issues faster. Another demo on offer is an interactive look at Ecrio’s AI video analytics and edge AI communications solution, which detects safety violations in real time and enables instant actionable inference, alerting, and edge voice/video communication. A third entails a practical examination of Vaido’s 5G-enabled, always-on security platform, which allows for real-time threat detection, identification, and response by transforming traditional surveillance into proactive security operations. These three demonstrations are joined by several others—all of which are now available at Sterling’s EBC.
